Surry County Busted Mugshots is a private reference, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, arrange a release, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Please direct those requests to the responsible public office below.

Use the custodian that holds the information sought. Surry has no published Sheriff records-unit email or flat booking-photo fee, so a specific written request and a cost estimate are appropriate.

  • For a current RRJ custody check, start at the official Riverside Regional Jail site. Its locator is a present-custody tool, not a Surry-only history or a promise that photographs display.
  • For a defined adult booking or arrest record, email the county FOIA officer and identify the adult, approximate date, agency, facility if known, and the existing record sought. Virginia Code § 2.2-3704 provides the response framework and permits an actual-cost estimate.
  • For a record held by RRJ, send the same narrow request to Lt. C. Jones. Adult initial-intake photographs are governed by § 2.2-3706, subject to its limits and exceptions.
  • For court status after booking, use the Surry combined courts page or the General District Court clerk at 757-294-5201. A booking allegation is not a conviction.
  • For local or regional-jail status notifications, use Virginia VINE. For a person in state custody, use the VADOC locator; federal and immigration custody require the relevant BOP or ICE official locator.
  • For a warrant or wanted concern, see Sheriff's Most Wanted. Do not use an online result to draw conclusions about a person’s legal status.
